How does this program work?

Our transportation service caters to Active Older Adults aged 60 and over residing in Anaheim. Participants can utilize the Senior Wheels Program within a 10-mile radius of their Anaheim home. We offer complimentary transportation to city-sponsored congregate meal sites for nutrition between 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Additionally, transportation for social activities, recreation, shopping, and medical appointments are available. 

Our service operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Click Senior Wheels Flyer to print out and share with family and friends that would benefit from this great service.

Non-emergency medical appointment transportation within the city limits is also available. The Senior Wheels Program will provide transportation to:

  • St. Jude Medical Center – 1101 E. Valencia Mesa, Fullerton, CA
  • St. Joseph Medical Center – 1110 West Stewart Drive, Orange, CA
  • UCI Medical Center – 101 The City Drive, Orange, CA
  • Kaiser Permanente – 22550 Savi Ranch Parkway, Yorba Linda, CA
  • Some additional medical sites may be approved on a case-by-case basis.
What if I have Access and Functional Needs?

People with access and functional needs who require accommodation to participate in a program should direct such requests either in person or by telephone at (714)765-4511, at least 72 hours before the scheduled event.

Does this program offer transportation vouchers?

Vouchers for our round-trip rides are priced at $2.00 each, with two vouchers required per trip. Participation in the congregate meal program is free of charge. To participate, registration on the meal site is mandatory. We accept payment via cash, check, and money orders. Please be aware that cash transactions cannot be conducted onboard the bus. Reservations are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Vouchers may be purchased at the following locations: Brookhurst Community Center (2271 Crescent Ave.), Downtown Anaheim Community Center (250 E. Center St.), and East Anaheim Community Center (8201 E. Santa Ana Canyon Rd.), or via mail.
