LIHEAP & CSBG Intake Process

 Crisis / Non-Crisis & Rent/Mortgage Assistance

Pick Up /Drop Off & Mail -In -- Clients may pick up, drop off or mail an application at 4523 Plank Road or download an application. CLICK HERE FOR LIHEAP APPLICATION.  Applications are also available at community centers (Community Center Locations Click Here). Once the application has been completed, return the application with the required documents to the nearest community center’s drop box or at 4523 Plank Rd.  If the client needs additional documentation such as Zero Income Form or Contribution Form, the client may request one when picking up the application or downloading from the forms page  www.brla.gov/3037/forms.

 

Telephone Access – Clients who are homebound / disabled who need assistance can call (225) 358-4561 to make an appointment. 

 

Walk/In – Clients may walk into the 4523 Plank Road location or any of the above-mentioned community centers Monday – Thursday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm to receive services.

**MONDAY’S SENIORS WALK-IN ONLY**

Note: Seniors can walk-in any day of the week but Mondays are designated to serve seniors only.

**Clients needing Crisis assistance can visit the Main Office @ 4523 Plank Road or call 225-358-4561.**

 

    All scanned documents must be clear. Unclear scanned documents may cause a delay in your application process.

Hint:  When sending a picture of the bill, please be sure the picture is clear, easily legible, and all four corners of the document (the full page) are in the picture. It is recommended you take the picture in a well-lit area with the camera held directly over the form.  Do not hold the form, lay it on a flat surface and take the picture.
