The Mayor's Youth Workforce Experience is a paid, 8-week summer career awareness and internship program for high school students, known as Scholars. Rooted in the research-informed Level-UP! model created by the Big Buddy Program, MYWE connects youth with Mentors, provides supportive environments for personal and professional growth, and offers career exploration opportunities. Scholars gain transferable skills, explore their interests, build social-emotional competencies, and develop work readiness. Upon completion, participants are certified as Work Ready Youth, equipped for success in both school and future careers.
